In association with the professionals members of the FPPCH (Fédération
des Professionnels Parisiens de la Chambre d'Hôtes) Une chambre en ville
creates the first eco-friendly Bed and Breakfasts in Paris.
To-day, more than one hundred Bed & Breakfasts have been distinguish
« Eco-Friendly Authentic B&B ».

The eco-friendly Bed & Breakfast :

Une chambre en ville uses a questionnaire with 25 items prepared by the FPPCH to appraise each B&B on environmental criteria and
to assess the present implication of the owners of the Bed and Breakfasts.

This questionnaire is divided into five main sections :

     • water and energy conservation,
     • reduction of waste and use of sustainable products,
     • environmental and health care,
     • organic or eco-friendly food,
     • guests’ education.

How to recognize an Eco-friendly Bed and Breakfast ?

Only the best rated Bed and Breakfasts will get the seal of «Eco-friendly B&B».
This seal has three graduations : three, four or five green leaves, depending on the rating.

The following documents will be at the disposal of the visitors in their Bed and Breakfasts :

     • A list of the commitments of their host
     • A list of eco tips for the visitors
     • A list of relevant websites and publishings.

In november 2011, an Authentic Bed & Breakfast has been awarded « La Clef Verte » (The Green Key) and is to-day the first and
the only « La Clef Verte » awarded B&B in Paris and in the Ile-de-France.
